Sight for life 20 year anniversary celebration

Sight for life 20 year anniversary celebration

There are not enough words to describe how amazed and grateful we are for the dedication, compassion and generosity of over 750 donors’ partners and volunteers, who attended our 20th anniversary celebration dinner and helped raise over £425,000.
This amazing feat would not have been possible without the Sight For Life “family” – our donors, partners and volunteer. Your generosity and concern for those living in poverty has enabled us to restore eyesight to those with curable blindness. In the past 20 years Sight for Life has transformed over 900,000 lives:
• Treated over 945,000 patients
• Performed over 76,000 eye surgeries
• Carried out 80,000 school screenings
• Vision on Wheels outreach seen over 141,000 patients
• Satellite clinic has treated 26,000 patients in 2023 (first year of operation)
Your generous support and dedication ensured SFL continues to provide the gift sight to thousands of vulnerable poor individuals who rely solely on us for treatment of their blindness. Without you, our donors and volunteers, none of the work we do would be possible!
On behalf of our trustees, members, and our patients we would like to say thank you for your unwavering support and generosity. We truly appreciate that you have joined us in this journey.
Mr Manzoor Ahmed founder and Executive President of Sight for Life said “Donors form the backbone of SFL’s work and its ability to provide free eye care to the poor. Thank you for helping us actually change the world, one blind person at a time, we appreciate and respect each and every one of you. Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and care. I must express our sincere gratitude to Umah Welfare Trust for sponsoring free surgeries; Sightsavers for sponsoring Operating Theatre Equipment and Klash for partnering with us for our Satellite Clinic.
