Pakistan has abolished the requirement of a negative PCR test for all fully vaccinated, inbound passengers.

Pakistani community has responded with joy that PCR rules as been abolished for fully vaccinated by the Government of Pakistan. Since the start of the covid-19 pandemic many families couldn’t travel to the country to visit relatives and were asked to get negative PCR test before travelling to Pakistan.
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) , Islamabad revised the policy for inbound passengers on 24th February.
From Thursday the pre-boarding negative PCR rule has been abolished for fully vaccinated inbound travellers. Passengers below 12 years of age are exempt from mandatory vaccination. However, non-vaccinated individuals over 12 years will still be required to show a pre-boarding negative PCR conducted within 72 hours.
One of the local residents Mr. Javed said that “Many companies were offering expensive PCR test. Some were charging between £60-£90. I couldn’t visit my mother in Pakistan with my kids due to added cost of PCT test. I am very glade now that this extra pressure of having PCR test has been taken away”. All vaccinated travellers coming back from Pakistan do not need to have PCR test. As UK government has already eased its rules for arriving travellers.
