Naemah Rafiqul: A Humanitarian<br>Journey from Heartbreak to Hope

In a world often overshadowed by adversity, the story of Naemah Rafiqul serves as a beacon of hope and resilience. At 33 years old, this Malaysian born humanitarian, currently visiting the United Kingdom, has transformed her personal tragedies into a powerful mission to uplift those in need. With over 1 million followers on TikTok, Naemah has harnessed the power of social media to advocate for the oppressed and inspire others through her humanitarian visits.
Naemah’s journey has been fraught with heartache. Losing her father to COVID-19, she faced the harrowing reality of a £70,000 hospital bill after an intensive 30 day ICU stay. Despite her family’s best efforts and the depletion of their savings, they were unable to secure the medical support he desperately needed. The pain of this loss was compounded just six months later when her husband, a devoted partner and father, died suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 35. Left as the sole breadwinner for her four young children, Naemah’s life took an unexpected turn.
After a decade long career at Standard Chartered Bank, Naemah made the bold decision to resign within 24 hours of her husband’s death. This significant choice marked the beginning of her commitment to humanitarian work, as she joined AICT GLOBAL Charity. Through this platform, she has been able to travel the world, witnessing the harsh realities faced by oppressed communities. Her work focuses on raising funds for urgent needs, including the ongoing crisis in Gaza and support for impoverished nations.
Naemah’s current passion project is particularly close to her heart: building a hospital in Bihar, India. This region, known as one of the poorest states in the country, lacks adequate medical facilities, with the nearest hospital often located 30 40 kilometres away. This initiative is fuelled by the memory of her father, whose life was cut short due to insufficient medical care, highlighting Naemah’s determination to prevent similar tragedies from befalling others.
During her visit to the United Kingdom, Naemah had the pleasure of exploring its beautiful landscapes and meeting diverse communities. As autumn paints the scenery in vibrant hues, she often encounters people curious about her homeland. When asked about Malaysia, she describes it as a stunning country filled with rich culture and diverse communities. “People are always smiling and friendly,” she shares. “We have beautiful places to visit, from pristine beaches and lush jungles to bustling cities. If you’re planning your holidays, why not consider visiting Malaysia?”
In addition to her hospital project, Naemah is actively involved in providing relief to communities in Bangladesh and India affected by recent flooding. Her commitment to humanitarian efforts reflects her profound empathy and desire to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
Naemah Rafiqul stands as a testament to the power of resilience and compassion. Through her journey, she not only advocates for those in need but also empowers young women to pursue their dreams and make a positive impact on the world. Her story is a reminder that, even in the face of adversity, one can rise to become a force for good in the lives of many. To follow Naeemah on TikTok: naemahrafiqul
