Freshly baked biscuits were sold to raise funds for Children in Need’s charity

The school raised money through a non-uniform day and a biscuit sale.

Mrs Vyse said: “It is important for our children to know about the challenges that other children face. By supporting Children in Need, they are learning the importance of compassion and empathy. They are also making a real difference to the lives of others. Some of our children and families here at Meanwood have also been supported by this fantastic charity over the years.”

Every year, BBC Children in Need raises millions of pounds to help disadvantaged children across the UK. The charity provides support in a variety of areas, including education, poverty, and disability.

Why it is important for school children to know about Children in Need‘s.

It is important for school children to know about Children in Need’s charity because it helps them to develop their understanding of social justice and the importance of helping others. By learning about the challenges that other children face, they can develop empathy and compassion. They can also learn about the power of collective action and how their little contribution can make a big difference.

When school children support Children in Need charity, they are not only helping to raise money for a good cause, but they are also learning valuable life lessons. They are learning about the importance of compassion, empathy, and giving back to the community. These are lessons that will stay with them long after they leave school.
