KYP Brings Joy, Creativity, and Healthy Living to Children During Easter Holidays with Fun-Filled HAF Activity Days

Over the 2025 Easter Holidays, KYP hosted 4 Activity days for children from the ages of 4 –16 funded through the Holiday, Activity & Food programme (HAF) managed by Rochdale Borough Council. Over the course of the 4 days. The days were all designed to promote healthy living and creativity through various activities which were all planned out by our KYP staff members. Each day was planned with a specific theme that the main activity of the day was planned around.
The Children were all also provided a nutritious hot meal, freshly made in house.
Over the four days the children participated in various activities.
One parent expressed her satisfaction on KYP’s HAF club “I am delighted to hear from my child that they had a fantastic time and made some new friends. They really showed off their creativity and the easter egg that they made was beautiful.
Another parent described his satisfaction at the activities that his daughter participated in “My daughter is ecstatic that she was able to do such a wide variety of activities. She particularly enjoyed creating her easter decoration and is looking forward to hanging it up in our house for Easter.
The kids also shared their thoughts on KYP’s HAF club. One child stating “I had a lot of fun today and made a really pretty egg picture, I can’t wait to come back”
Another stating “My favourite thing was playing football with my new friends and the chicken curry that we had for lunch was really delicious”
Zulf Ahmed, CEO of KYP commented “The half term activities are embedded in the history of KYP going all the way back to the eighties and nineties, so it is an absolute pleasure to reintroduce the service over the past easter holidays. The response we’ve received from all over the borough has been overwhelmingly positive from both the kids who attended from across the borough and their parents. We at KYP are very much looking forward to continuing with the activities going into the upcoming Summer Holidays.
