10 year old from Bolton climbs Ben Nevis for Charity!

10 year old Aamira Hajee from Bolton never stops and whoever knows her will know that she’s always up for a challenge. In late August 2021 she decided to challenge herself for a worthy cause by climbing Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in the UK to raise funds for her brothers and sisters in Palestine,

Aamira raised £4468 for Penny Appeal’s Love Palestine project which supports the distribution of nutritious food parcels in Palestinian refugee camps, supports Palestinian farmers so they can cultivate and expand their olive farms, helps to create rooftop gardens that become a sustainable source of income for women and provides essential services, like medical care and clean water distribution, for the people affected by the Gaza Emergency.

The young challenge champion says: “We are so fortunate to have delicious food on the table everyday and not having to worry about drinking dirty water and falling ill. All the things big and small we take for granted every minute of the day are the things the people of Palestine can only sadly dream and wish for!”

Head of Challenges Haroon Mota says: “We are ever so proud of Aamira who is helping so many people by raising nearly £4500 for our Emergency Response campaign, she is absolutely amazing and we hope that Aamira will join us on many other challenges!”
